Glazed pottery/ceramic raven head with a small dish for burning incense (edition of 18). Our inner voices are sometimes described as coming from a raven on our shoulder that is trying to keep us safe; “don’t be too ambitious, work hard, don’t step out of line” it anxiously squarks. The voices are from the part of our brain that evolved when we lived in small groups and needed to be accepted in order to survive but aren't necessarily helpful now...These ravens embody those voices; try writing them down, whilst burning some incense in or next to the raven’s head (smoke comes out of the ravens' beaks). This ritual will clear your head.
